The beach is shallow and child-friendly and offers great opportunities for swimming for the whole family, from the beach or from the jetty. Good fishing opportunities and a boat with a motor is moored at the floating jetty and can be rented. Salmon fishing can be done in the river Stjørdalselva or Verdalselva. Nice walking opportunities, 300 m to a hiking trail. Nice starting point for road trips. There are many monuments in the area that are worth seeing: the monastery ruins at Tautra by Frosta, Stiklestad church from the year 1100, built on the site where Olav Haraldsson fell in battle in 1030 m.m. 60 km to the city of Trondheim with many sights, shops and restaurants. Parking at the cottage, 2 km to the grocery shop.
