Gråborg is Öland's largest known ancient castle, which is usually popular with its fine hiking trail. You have nice swimming with a wonderful long shallow sandy beach in Bläsinge, where there is also a restaurant and sale of fresh fish. If you just want to take a dip, there is also Gårdby Hamn with a bathing jetty nearby. In Färjestaden there are plenty of fine restaurants, ice cream cafés and bathing areas. Borgholm is also usually a popular destination to stroll around if you want a slightly larger selection. Borgholm Castle Ruins is also here, which is well worth a visit. For the children, Öland Djurpark is usually popular with its animals, amusement park and water park.
